Jay McAllister first rose to prominence as a folk music act in 2005 under the moniker of Beans on Toast, opening the Glastonbury Festival that year and every year since. In 2008 he supported Kate Nash at her Hammersmith Apollo show, and released a 50 track debut album 'Standing On a Chair' in 2009.

Beans On Toast

Biography

Jay McAllister first rose to prominence as a folk music act in 2005 under the moniker of Beans on Toast, opening the Glastonbury Festival that year and every year since. In 2008 he supported Kate Nash at her Hammersmith Apollo show, and released a 50 track debut album 'Standing On a Chair' in 2009. The album was produced by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, and features vocals by Emmy The Great, Frank Turner and more.

Beans on Toast have toured the all over the world, somehow finding time to release 8 albums including his most recent 'A Spanner in the Works'.
