About

There are few more pleasant teams to watch in the Premier League than Fulham F.C. Based at the scenic ground of Craven Cottage, right next to the River Thames, Fulham’s return to the Premier League is a welcome one. This south-west London club, which considers Chelsea F.C. its main rival, is renowned for welcoming neutral football fans looking for a game. Fulham F.C. boasts the claim to being the oldest football club from London in the Football League as it joined the League in 1907. The club has spent most of its history in English professional football’s lower divisions but enjoyed its first period in the top flight in the 1960s, with players such as ‘Mr. Fulham’ Johnny Haynes dazzling fans. The club reached its only domestic cup final to date in 1975 when it lost the FA Cup Final to West Ham United. After reaching their lowest ebb in the late 1990s the Cottagers were revived after being bought out by Mohamed Al-Fayed, returning to the Premier League in 2001. That led the club to enjoy 13 years in England’s top flight with the Cottagers often finishing in the top half of the table. The club enjoyed arguably its biggest success in 2010 as it beat the likes of Juventus and Hamburg to get to the Europa League Final, losing to Atletico Madrid 2-1 after extra time. With Fulham known for its free-flowing football and friendly, cosmopolitan atmosphere, if you are a football fan looking to catch a casual Premier League game in London, you won’t do better than a Fulham game at Craven Cottage.
